Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark have announced details of their new album The Punishment of Luxury and a European tour towards the end of the year.
Released on 1 September, The Punishment of Luxury will be OMD’s third album since reforming in the mid-noughties and their thirteenth altogether. The album is available to pre-order now in a variety of formats including CD, LP (on black or limited yellow vinyl), deluxe CD + DVD, download and even cassette. A taster tack La Mitrailleuse has been previewed on YouTube and is available immediately for those ordering the album.
In support of the album, the band has also announced a tour beginning in October. VIP package tickets go on sale at 9am on Wednesday 17 May with regular tickets available from 9am on Friday 19. The tour takes in the UK, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland.
