Just when you thought everyone over the age of 30 had stopped releasing singles, the Pet Shop Boys are back with The Pop Kids out today on CD and download, including two new B-side tracks In Bits and One-Hit Wonder, plus an additional digital-only bundle including four remixes of the A-side. More new material from a whole host of ’80s legends in the shape of Fly: Songs Inspired by the Film “Eddie the Eagle”, including exclusive songs from Holly Johnson, Howard Jones, Marc Almond, Tony Hadley, Midge Ure, Nik Kershaw, ABC, Kim Wilde, Andy Bell, Go West, Heaven 17, Paul Young and OMD! Meanwhile, The Wonder Stuff return with a new album 30 Goes Around the Sun, James release Girl at the End of the World and Primal Scream‘s new set Chaosmosis is also out today.
On the back catalogue front there are expanded editions of Haircut One Hundred‘s début Pelican West and KC & the Sunshine Band‘s swansong All in a Night’s Work, while a-ha release yet another Best Of album Time and Again, which teams a disc of hits with a disc of remixes, most of them previously unreleased.
