The unexpected Bob Marley revival rolls on this week as after three consecutive weeks at number 43 the remix of Is This Love climbs a place to 42. Meanwhile, in its 734th week on the album chart (I know that sounds like a made up comedy statistic, but it’s absolutely genuine) Legend climbs to number 5, its highest position since its original chart run back in 1984. Marley is such a legend that his Best Of album has itself become legendary.
This week sees new single releases from Metallica (Hardwired) and De La Soul featuring Usher (Greyhounds). Nick Cave‘s collaboration with Warren Ellis on the Hell or High Water soundtrack is out today, while the Bad Seeds‘ 1994 set Let Love In is reissued on CD with a bonus DVD. From the same year, Madonna‘s Bedtime Stories album is issued on vinyl for the first time in the UK and Faith No More‘s 1985 dΓ©but We Care a Lot gets a deluxe edition with demos, live tracks and new mixes.
