All Over the World - The Very Best of ELO

Chart Watch and New Releases: 1 July 2016

Absolute scenes on the album chart this week as ELO‘s Glastonbury performance propels All Over the World – the Very Best of ELO to number 3 ahead of Rick Astley whose 50 is still holding on at 4. Not much in the way of new releases this week but the Stone Roses‘ recent download single All For One gets a belated physical release, on remarkably stingy single track 7″ and CD with no B-sides whatsoever. Erasure’s Andy Bell releases Variance II, an album of remixed tracks from his recent solo set Torsten the Beautiful Libertine and there are deluxe editions of It’s Immaterial‘s Life’s Hard And Then You Die and Wendy & Lisa‘s eponymous dΓ©but from 1987.
