Because we’re not a physical magazine, we can’t glue free CDs to the cover every month, but that doesn’t mean we can’t share our favourite music with you! Using Spotify we’ve created 90 minute virtual mixtapes of some of the ’80s biggest acts, allowing you to sample some of their lesser known (but just as good) material alongside the familiar hits.

Now That’s What You Might, Hypothetically, Have Called Music II

Now That's What You Might, Hypothetically, Have Called Music II rear coverOur ongoing alternate universe series of Now albums that never existed carries on with this month’s Virtual CD – which, again, is really a Virtual Double LP or Cassette. Using the same template as the real world Now albums – two records or cassettes, 7 or 8 tracks per side, biggest hits of the past four months or so three times a year – this is the Now album that would have been released in the summer of 1980. There’s even a cassette adaptation of the front cover artwork, should you have the time and inclination and two blank C60s lying around.

Now That's What You Might, Hypothetically, Have Called Music II cassette inlayIf you’re backing us on Patreon it’s available right now for you to listen to on Spotify or Mixcloud. If you’re not, slip us as little as $1 a month and get instant access to this, as well as volume 1, all our other virtual CDs of the month, the exclusive Off The Chart bonus show Further Off The Chart, and a metric shedload more!
